As part of our firm’s Work-Life initiative, Rajah & Tann Singapore invited the Mobile Massage Team (MMT), a crew of qualified, visually handicapped masseurs from the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) to offer relaxing and therapeutic massages. The initiative provides the masseurs employment opportunities and helps them gain financial independence.
SAVH, founded in 1951, is a voluntary welfare organization that is affiliated to the National Council of Social Service, and is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC). The aim of SAVH is to help the visually impaired integrate into society with new skills and to develop self-reliance. Through this, the visually impaired are able to become self reliant and independent, thus facilitating their entry back into the society.
