An excerpt from Steve Tan’s welcome speech “What is the Metaverse? Many have freely slung the buzzword around as if they fully understand it. On the contrary, to fully understand the Metaverse is to realize that it is at this stage not yet fully understandable. The term Metaverse is rather nebulous and there are varying permutations of definitions about it. Suffice to say that in its basic interpretation, the Metaverse is a digital virtual world which promises a high level of immersiveness and interaction for humans. There is in fact not one metaverse but multiple metaverses.”
